The Gold Plus is a Safe, Sure and Secure five-year tax-free investment account that is designed to give you the flexibility to achieve your goals. Members need a minimum of J$25,000 to start and can invest up to $1,000,000 annually, with a maximum of $5,000,000.
Interest is paid quarterly and your funds are invested in securities issued and back by the Jamaican government. You can withdraw up to 75% of your interest or reinvest it and take advantage of the compounding effect. If you break your investment before 5 years the 25% withholding tax becomes applicable. After 5 years, the percentage withheld will be available (if there is no withdrawal of principal).
